Spring Beautification Day Dosed with Scouts Honor

Neighbors and volunteers did a number at the Spring Beautification Day! In fact, 10 of the 20 city green spaces that dot our neighborhood and are maintained by KNU got a makeover. Boy Scout Troop 5 joined our ranks for the clean-up and contributed amazing spirit and effort. Volunteers included 8 members of Boy Scout Troop 5, Lila Belitz, Chuck Daniel and Robb Puckett, Greg Evans and Steve Roe, Linda Franklin, Amy Freund and Charles Hatfield, Rusty Hampton, Rhonda and Gene Heatly, Donna and Wayne Hitt, Robert Kucharski, Annick and Larry McNally, Robbie Miller, Susie Moody, Taylor Morris, Tim Nobles, Cindy Pierce, Robyn and Jerry Reno, Jerry Sanchez and Roland Ramirez, Terri and Bill Schurr, Bill Silverman, Ron Veech and Kim Dunbar, Susan Via, Peter Weber, and Beautification Chair Cindy Pierce. A special thanks to everyone for a record turnout!!! Check out the groomed grounds at Edgefield & Kessler Parkway, Colorado & Kessler Parkway, Montclair & Colorado, Montclair & Kensington, Kensington, Kessler Steps, NOCGS area by the tennis courts, Windomere & Belleau, Clinton & Canterbury, and Winnetka & Canterbury. Please consider joining us in the fall for our next beautification day.
