We hope you will attend the annual Kessler Neighbors United General Meeting on November 15th at 7pm, to be held at Kessler Park United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 1212 Turner Avenue. Enter building through the north doors next to parking lot. In addition to a year-end recap of 2018 completed goals and 2019 officer elections, KNU will welcome special guests and City of Dallas Officials Sarah Standier and Abidur Kahn. They will brief residents on the implementation of the City of Dallas’ Coombs Creek Erosion Plan including future work and neighborhood traffic impact. The City is currently working at Colorado Blvd. on both sides of the Stevens Park Golf Course to place rock baskets and curtail erosion. The north side appears to be completed. The next area of construction will be along Edgefield Avenue and Kessler Parkway, and is likely to have a major impact on traffic in our neighborhood.
Concerning 2019 KNU Officer Elections will also take place, the nominees/positions are: Susan Via, President; Dale Miner, Vice President; incumbent Lila Belitz, Secretary; and incumbent Carlos Nolf, Treasurer. Click here for candidate bios. Any added nominations will be accepted at the meeting. KNU residents must be present at the meeting to cast a vote, so we encourage all to participate.
