KNU Quenched Thirst for Dash Runners

KNU wants to thank Jerrold Broussard, Carlos Nolf and Susan Via for their volunteering efforts in handing out water to 10K runners at the recent Dash for the Beads held annually in sync with Mardi Gras. It was a colorful good show, rather chilly, but well-represented by Kessler Neighbors United. See snapshots. Good Space’s Dash for the Beads is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports area youth by providing grant funds to area schools and nonprofits in promotions of physical fitness, healthy eating, and arts programs.

James Beard Foundation Announces Area Semifinalists

Highlighting top culinary talent and venues nationally, the James Beard Awards has named North Texas professional and KNU resident Clyde Greenhouse of Kessler Baking Studio on Beckley as semifinalist for the “Outstanding Baker” category, and Salaryman on Bishop for “Best New Restaurant.” Congrats to both contenders and bon appetit!
